That’s why I offer an initial phone chat, giving you the chance to get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. During this conversation, I’ll listen to your needs, answer any questions, and provide recommendations - whether that’s moving forward together or helping you find support elsewhere. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, supported, and confident in the next steps of your journey.

Hi, I’m Ivy. So glad you are here.

I’m an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) and a member of the AASW. I support people through life’s challenges with warmth, respect, and understanding. My approach is grounded in understanding your story, your strengths, and what matters most to you. I believe that the connection between client and counsellor forms the foundation of meaningful healing and growth.

AMHSWs are recognised for their skills and experience in providing Focused Psychological Strategies - evidence-based approaches that support mental health and wellbeing. This means I'm qualified to deliver psychological interventions similar to those offered by other mental health professionals.

I have worked in acute health and mental health services, alcohol and other drug treatment, and dual diagnosis in hospital and community settings. I have supported adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and relationship or identity challenges.

My sessions are client-led, meaning you set the pace and focus, and I will listen carefully to what’s most important to you. Together, we’ll develop goals and a treatment plan that feels right for you. My style is warm, calm, and non-judgemental, and I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you can reflect, heal, and grow.
